1 Dec 2005 - A Day for remembrance

Today is 1 Dec 2005. Something wonderful and exciting has happened. About 2 years and 8 months ago, on 9 Mar 2003, I sustained a spinal cord fracture as a result of a fall from height. As a result I have lost 3 major functions of my body.

On 1 Dec 2005, at about 4 am, I felt a warm and tingling sensation at my lower belly. I felt nothing about this the first time. But at the second time, I felt that something has happened. Then, I went to test that function, and wow I actually am able to get some partial control of that function which is probably about 20% control - not much, but very significant compared to 0% of the function which is full loss. I hope that this regain continues to improve up to more than 50%. Spinal cord injuries are hard to recover from, only after 2 years and nearing to 3 years, am I able to recover some partial control of the lost function.

This is indeed a great day to remember and rejoice. Í have been dreaming about this almost every night, hoping that I will recover, hope this is a start for me.
