Winter Assault Review V: Single Player Campaigns(DISORDER)

DISORDER Campaign


Lorn V, ice world on the edge of known space has been under Chaos control for what would seem an eternity. Whilst Orks wage incessant battles against the Chaos Lord Crull and his forces, all are unaware of the prize beneath their feet. Hidden in the heart of a ruined city, an Imperial Titan will drive the blood-crazed Chaos Lord toward his greatest conquest, while an Ork Warboss will join the battle and lead a planetwide WAAAGH!







2.1 Mission 1 - Gather the Clans (GTC)

"While the Orks on Lorn V number many, they lack the unity to defeat the
occupying force of Chaos Space Marines. These fell warriors squeeze Lorn V in
their bloody grip, and the scattered Orks are losing ground, one clan at a
time.

But now, an Ork Warboss named Gorgutz is beating Chaos at every turn uniting
more Orks under his banner. Gorgutz is now ready to take on and take over one
of the biggest Ork Clans on the planet, drawing all the Orks together in a
mighty WAAAGH! and crush all in his path."

2.2 Level 2 - Hunter! (HNT!)

"Gorgutz now leads the largest of the Ork Clans and dreams of embroiling all of Lorn V's Orks in a mighty WAAAGH! under his banner. With the hope of gathering even more boyz, Gorgutz's Mek have cobbled together a Rokkit Shuttle allowing him to travel to the far reaches with ease. That is, of course, if the Rokkit remains in the air...

Meanwhile, Chaos Lord Crull, leader of the Chaos Space Marines of Lorn V revels in the possibility of bloodshed and salavates for an opportunity to face this new Warboss Gorgutz. He is about to get his chance."

Lord Crull: My men grow restless guarding this insufferable fleck of ice they called Lorn V, though I do not blame them. Blood was meant to flow hot and free…not to run cold and sluggish. By Khorne, I should be commanding crusades, but this world…see how it denies me even my most basic pleasures.





Chaos Sorcerer: Then perhaps I can provide you with some sport. Yes? Our hunters clipped the wings of the shuttle carrying Warboss Gorgutz. He recently united the other Ork clans. I believe he survived the crash.

Lord Crull: Yes! Finally some sport. Eliminating Gorgutz will send the Orks reeling. But tell everyone that I alone will claim his head! By nightfall, we’ll drink a toast from his skull!





Lord Crull: Is this what counts as a WAAAGH?!? I’m insulted that he thinks he can destroy my base with this pitiful rabble of Orks! I will crush him and his men for that affront!

Warboss Gorgutz: Waddya mean, charge der line? Tell ya what. Youz go yer way, I go mine and we’ll see who comez out da udder side!

Lord Crull: What! Gorgutz, where in the Warp are you going? Gorgutz! Damn him! I’ll charge the lines alone, then, and kill him when I next see his bloodshot eyes. Argh!!! Kill them all!!





Ork against Imperial Guards:





Imperial Guardsman: Stop…please, I’ll tell you whatever you want. I’ll tell you everything!

Lord Crull: Why are you here on my world? Answer me and I’ll show you mercy.

Imperial Guard: We were assigned to retrieve a Titan: Dominatus. It was badly damaged in the defense of this world ages ago. We were hoping to repair it.

Warboss Gorgutz: Titan? What dat?

Lord Crull: Power unimaginable, Gorgutz. A war machine unlike any other…a weapon to devastate worlds…entire star systems, even. If I can gain control of the Titan, none could stand in my way. I’d be a God. Organize your forces, Gorgutz, and let us be done with these Imperial Guardsmen. Afterwards, we’ll settle matters between us.

Warboss Gorgutz: Soundz good, Crull. I’ll gather the boyz, and once I crushed the humies I’ll help ya bleed somthin’ good.

Lord Crull: Not unless I crush you under the Titan’s heels first, Gorgutz.





2.3 Mission 3 - Final Journey (FJ1)

"With the surprising arrival of the Imperial Guard, and the discovery of a fallen Titan, Chaos Lord Crull has begun his obsession to possess this powerful war-machine. Despite his innate distrust of Sorcerers and their vile magics, he will use them to gather enough sacrificial blood to corrupt the Titan for his own designs.

Meanwhile, Warboss Gorgutz WAAAGH! grows in scale with every battle, as does
the Ork's lust for heads to add to his collection. He earns the moniker, Warboss Gorgutz 'Ead 'Unter, and for his first prize, he is eyeing the Imperial General, Sturnn."

Chaos Sorcerer: I have arrived at the Blood Pits, milord. What would you ask of me?

Lord Crull: Then get to it! The faster we gather the blood to appease Khorne, the faster the Titan is ours. But before you leave, execute that pitiful excuse for a soldier for embarrassing me!

Lord Crull: Damn them! We wasted too much blood summoning the Bloodthirster. Now we need more if we are to appease Khorne! I’ll tell you this, Sorcerer. Tomorrow, I shall enjoy sucking the Eldar’s eyes from their screaming skulls.

Chaos Sorcerer: I am uh sorry, milord. But that is not the worst of it.

Lord Crull: Tread carefully, Sorcerer. Or I might savage you instead of the Eldar.

Chaos Sorcerer: Then perhaps you should, ah sate your thirst on Ork blood, milord? Gorgutz and his rabble are, uhm, gathered near the Titan. Perhaps he is ready to attack it.

Lord Crull: Gorgutz wouldn’t dare! I grow tired of this so called alliance. I’ve wanted that miserable Ork’s skull and I shall have it as my cup! We will first move to secure the Titan and then deal with that venomous snake. Only then shall we fill the Blood Pit to its brim and set it overflowing. Then…the Titan will at last be mine!




2.41 Mission 4 - Keep your Enemies Closer (KYEC1)

"The Imperial Guard, desperate to repair the Titan, surrounds it with a powerful psychic shield to forestall its capture. Lord Crull grows more impatient and desperate to possess the Titan. He commits his forces to capturing the war-machine while Gorgutz enters the fray in search of battle, blood and more heads to add to his collect.

With the unexpected involvement of the Eldar, however, it swiftly becomes obvious that the Titan is a prized promised for only one winner, while the losers can expect an early grave."

Lord Crull: I have enough men to seize the Control Gate. And who controls the gate, controls the fate of this battle!

"His victory seemingly assured, Lord Crull breaches the Imperial Psychic Shield and prepares to take the Titan itself. Unfortunately, his Sorcerers lost much sacrificial blood when they raised the dreaded Bloodthirster to defeat the Eldar's god-incarnate... the Avatar.

Now, the Chaos Lord's forces must procure more blood for the final ritual that will bring the Titan under their dominion. And while Lord Crull dreams of his tyrannical march across the galaxy, a new event is about to unfold, one that threatens to unravel everything Crull has achieved."

2.52 Mission 5 - Trophies (TRPI)

"The Ork avalance continues with a magnificent roar. Warboss Gorgutz's mound of heads grow larger with each battle, and each victory the number of worthy skulks worth of obtaining grows smaller.

The last head for the Warboss to clain rests on Chaos Lord Crull's neck. To rule the day and collect the pearl of Lorn V, Gorgutz will lure Crull into a battle that he cannot win... At least if the Warboss has anything to say in the matter."
