《仙剑奇侠传》Chinese Paladin

One of my favourite Taiwan series.

This series will debut on Jan 14 2006, Saturdays at 9 pm on channel U! It will be shown after the PRC version of the Legend of The Condor Heroes.

This drama was put on hold since the merger of the two TV companies in Jan 2005.

曾经牵动两岸三地无数游戏迷的心，成为众多玩家心目中永远的RPG的《仙剑奇侠传》，由香港唐人影视公司改编成30集古装神话连续剧，即将在我台播出。《仙剑奇侠》男女主角分别是胡歌（饰李逍遥）、刘亦菲（饰赵灵儿）、安以轩（饰林月如）、刘品言（饰阿奴）。其中或许刘亦菲演活了《天龙八部》的王语嫣，由她来担纲第一女主角赵灵儿，玩家们颇为支持。至于其他主演是否符合您心目的形象，一看便知晓。

Xian Jian Qi Xia Zhuan is a series based on a popular RPG game with the same title. It has been adapted by Hong Kong Tang Ren Ying Shi Company into a 30 episode ancient fairy tale series that was shown on CZTV. Each episode is 60 mins. The main actor is Hu Ge who reprises the role of Li Xiao Yao. The other casts are: Liu Yi Fei(China) reprises Zhao Ling Er, An Yi Xuan(Taiwan) reprises Lin Yue Ru, Liu Pin Yan(Taiwan/Sweety) reprises A Nu.

This is one of those series that combine actors and actresses from more than one country, namely: China, Taiwan and Singapore. A fairy tale series with an unlikely ending not fitting for a fairy tale story is what makes this series unique, and more suited as a Wuxia series.

Why must we watch it?:

1. To support our local Singaporean actors and actresses in the series namely: Bryan Wong, Guo Liang and Lynn Poh.
2. The fighting scenes are cool, coupled with the appropriate special effects to make it realistic.
3. For supporters of idols – the main casts consists mostly of idols including Hu Ge, Liu Yi Fei, Peng Yi Yan and Esther Liu Pin Yuan.
4. The series emphasizes on team cooperation, the power of love which can work wonders, the spirit of perseverance and finally that evil cannot triumph over good which viewers can learn from it.

What To Beware:

1. The time travel theme is one of the main themes that ties together the whole plot. Viewers may be confused by this theme as it makes the series seem fragmented and hence has a feel of lacking continuity in the storyline.

He is a thief, a scoundrel a bad guy, a fickle guy, and a small fry. He is a hero, a good person, a good man, a love expert, a man with honour and a filial son. When he dates with a girl, he will never say clearly the time to meet. Why? Because he's not clear what time he will get out of bed. And he loves to hug one girl and shouts "my love"and hugs another girl and shouts "My Concubine". Any girl could be his honey. Any person, event, thing he views as a thing to toy with. Including the emperor's first scholar, the head of Shu Mountain, the young general of Nan Zhao Country, the head of the Martial art's World's daughter. He will only be serious to a person in this world. Because he has already set his rule. That is whenever he meets his true love he will treat her truthfully. His true love is Ling Er. For her, he will go over the whole world. Many people envy his luck, because he has every guy's dream: He has 3 pretty woman who will do anything for him without any strings attached! He roams the Martial world and has a strange encounter! Forever turns bad luck to good: If he needs money he will have money and if he wants face he will have it. He has the world's most powerful skill! His wish is to be famous in the world, becoming Xiao Yao The Great Hero! He succeeded! For gain, there will be loss. All he loves, leaves him.....Don’t know if he's happy or sad, he's a guy of his name, Xiao Yao---Forever will be laughing! In his laughter, there will be some bad intentions! And also perhaps some sadness! Many people dream of becoming Li Xiao Yao. Who is Li Xiao Yao? The best Bad guy; also the worst good guy! The happiest sad character; also the saddest humorous guy!

Things to note about this character:

He is the main protagonist. A martial arts talents who has the ability to remember every single stroke of a skill that he sees being performed in front of his eyes and can emulate that skill immediately after seeing it performed only once. He is the chosen one who will save humanity and face off with the main antagonist at the end of the series and defeats him.



劉亦菲(Liu Yi Fei) 飾演 趙靈兒(Zhao Ling Er)

Liu Yi Fei who is famous for her role in Tian Long Ba Bu as Wang Yi Yuan now portrays Zhao Ling Er.

All the people were feeling strange bout her.....But she has changed the sky---A flower grew out of the stone! She has also changed Xiao Yao's heart---He is going to marry her! 安以軒(An Yi Xuan) 飾演 林月如(Lin Yue Ru)

她的一生，可用一句話概括：「為逍遙而生，為逍遙而死。」真的，她的一生乾脆俐落，可給劃分為兩大階段：一、 認識逍遙之前；二、 認識逍遙之後。逍遙，就是她的人生轉捩點。認識他之前，她自大、自尊、狂、傲、霸、野……她不哭。連母親死了也不哭！她要讓人家知道，她是一個堅強如岩石般的人。因為她是武林盟主林天南的女兒；她要如男子般剛強，以爭取在父親心目中的地位！她加倍吃力，用功；她要證明給全世界看，她是有能力的人！她能抵得上世間任何男子，她有能力去承繼父親的一切，她不需要比武招親！也許，她骨子裡十分嚮往愛情。她一直在等待最真摯的感情來臨……只是她自己也許也不知道！逍遙來了，她被徹底擊敗。除了武功，更是她的內心……月如第一天跟逍遙碰面，她「殺死」了他！第二次再見，她愛上了他。面對逍遙，她哭了。連帶她一直壓抑著的，最女性最溫柔最軟弱的一面，都給挑出來了……她從未試過如此卑微過……在逍遙跟前，她就變得這麼渺小。她隨他的快樂而快樂；隨他的悲哀而悲哀。她愛他，義無反顧！不理聲名，跟著他上山下海。明知道他心裏的是另一個人；她不介意！她可以為了逍遙和靈兒，最後犧牲寶貴的性命。她不痛苦，她含笑而逝，這是她的選擇……

Her life, can be summarised in a sentence: Live for Xiao Yao, Die for Xiao Yao. Really, her whole life can be separated into 2 parts: 1) Before meeting Xiao Yao; 2) After getting acquainted with Xiao Yao.Xiao Yao, is the turning point in her life. Before knowing Xiao Yao, she was arrogant, with self pride, wild.....She would never cry. Not even when her own mother dies! She wants others to know that she is as strong as a granite stone. Because she is the daughter of the Leader of the pugilist sect Lin Tian Nan's daughter; She wants to be as strong as a guy, to gain position in front of her father! She works much harder; She wants to prove to the world that she is a gal that is with potential! She can fight with any guy in the world, she is capable of inheriting everything from her father, she don't need to have a duel to get married! Maybe she yearns for love deep in her heart. She is always waiting the most pure of love to reach her....But maybe she don't know herself! Xiao Yao is here, she has been completely defeated. 劉品言(Liu Pin Yuan) 飾演 阿奴(A Nu)

這一刻，她還是一個人見人愛的南詔國少女。轉眼，她卻變成一個如張飛一樣的粗漢！全因為她太貪吃──其師傅聖姑向她施法，但凡她利用仙法變錢買東西吃，就會長出如張飛的一字眉、大鬍子！她不聽話，早已立下志願，要嘗遍天下美食。她要看遍天下美景，她要開心，她要全世界都開心！她如人間精靈，調皮活潑。她看似沒心沒肺，滿腦子除了吃和玩，沒有其他。其實，她心裏面一直在想：「誰是我爸爸？！」因為她自出娘胎，家中只有媽媽。她也知道唐鈺愛她。只是，她沒有放在心裏。她不知道愛情的力量；反而，她向往大自然力量。天生的智慧，讓她充滿大愛，無視小愛。從小到大，她都愛護大自然；愛惜萬物……在她童稚的眼光中，拜月教主，是一位可愛可親的叔叔。天地萬物皆可愛，她不贊成戰爭。所以，她暗中離開南詔國，偷偷走到中原，想儘快找回童年摯友靈兒，南詔國的公主，好讓她跟拜月教主和談，避免流血衝突。可是，這只是她的主觀願望。可憐的阿奴，終於有幸重遇生父──卻因為救唐鈺，而把靈魂出賣給拜月教主。她成為了她最討厭的人──一個殺手。拿著閃亮的劍，殺人於迅間。唐鈺，雙臂被她割斷──其生父，枉死於其劍下！她被唐鈺的真情感動，終於轉醒過來──可是，她原諒不了自己；唯一的出路，就是犧牲！她慶倖，她的「唐鈺小寶」，始終對她不離不棄。在他那裏，她找到了她的此志不渝。

彭于晏(Peng Yu Yan) 飾演 唐鈺(Tang Yi)

他是一個孤兒。父母只給他留下一個名字──唐鈺。他幾乎餓死街頭……一天，一名路過的老頭不忍，給他拋來一個肉包；他堅持要向老頭耍一套功夫，以作交換；老頭不要，他卻咬著牙，揮著無力的拳頭、顫抖的雙腿……打畢了，才願意吃下那個肉包。因為，他堅持，他不是乞丐。老頭被感動了──他是鼎鼎大名的南詔國三朝元老石長老！二人從此結下父子緣份。從那天起，唐鈺視石長老為一生中唯一的親人；他最重視他的看法。偏偏，一個多情的少年，卻遇上極為嚴肅冷淡的固執老人。石長老從小到大，對唐鈺管教甚嚴。從未得過半句讚賞，換來的只是不斷的苟責、懲罰。石長老左一句「飯桶！」、右一句「窩囊廢」，一直深深傷害其心靈。他不住在掙扎；越是在意，越是不能高飛！他不知道，自身成就早已超越所有同齡的少年！因為他缺乏了最重要的東西──自信。唐鈺其實很不快樂。阿奴的樂觀、溫暖、傻氣、天真，令唐鈺感動不已。幾乎是馬上地，他愛上了阿奴。從那天起，他一直對她義無反顧。可憐的是，阿奴卻不解唐鈺的熱情，只視他為自己的錢包、保鑣、玩伴……枉有一身絕世好武功，卻苦無用武之地；心中熱情不住在燃燒，對方卻不解溫柔。跟隨石長老到中原執行尋找靈兒公主的任務，令他的生命來了一個重大轉變：他經歷成功，也飽嘗失敗；感受到愛情之甜美，也體驗到失戀的苦澀……他不住在掙扎，找尋自我。這是成長的必經之路。直到有一天，他失去了一切：義父石長老、阿奴、雙臂、苦練十多年的武功──此刻，他終於尋到真正的自我！他狠下決心，重新開始！居然以口代手，在南詔國街頭大寫血書，數萬字怒斥拜月教主惡行！他失去雙臂，卻練出最厲害的絕招：「飛星」！他，殘而不廢。他擺脫了心魔，成為一個真正有用的人！最後，他的愛更感動了阿奴，讓她從魔咒中清醒。為了解救她，為了南詔國，他跟阿奴，決定犧牲。化為比翼鳥……

王祿江(Bryan Wong) 飾演 劉晉元(Liu Jun Yuan)

他是完美的化身：英俊、年輕、家勢顯赫、有學識、有地位、有修養、有品味、幽默、大方……直至遇上了逍遙。一個完美的人，居然紓尊降貴，甘願拜這個江湖小混混為師！幾乎是完美的他有一個致命的缺點：不懂功夫。偏偏，他卻深愛身為武林盟主林天南女兒的表妹月如！為了拉近跟月如的距離，他甘願跟逍遙拜師學藝。　　　　　他成為了逍遙取笑的物件，被逍遙視為超級大笨蛋；但是，他其實是最瞭解逍遙的人。反而，逍遙卻感到這個書呆子，其實深不可測！連皇帝、拜月教主，都深深被他折服……他擁有一切，卻處之淡然；輕如金錢、名利，他從不計較……重如愛情──當他發現心愛的月如愛的是逍遙；心碎過後，還是決定成全！這份善良，終於感動了逍遙；他成為逍遙畢生最好的知己良朋！晉元一生，不住成全所有身邊的人。因為他知道自己是一個很幸運的人；他很想幫助身邊所有不幸的人。所以，他會把一切都拿出來，無私地跟朋友們分享──包括他的性命！

Direct Translation:

He is the main antagonist who is also Bai Yue Sect Leader. He is second only to the emperor. He wants to destroy the world.; and reorganise everything, to construct a dream country. He rejects love in his whole life. But at the same time ironically wants to find out if love exists. Actually, he is the person most in need of love. He is afraid, walking towards one extreme point. Until finally, he understands that the perfect dream country has already existed from the beginning, if only love exists. He has been enlightened by Xiao Yao at the end…



Xie Jun Hao portrays Jiu Jian Xian

Direct Translation:

One of the great martial arts exponents in the series – he is the one who imparts one of the higher end trademark skill to Xiao Yao – the splitting sword skill. He lives in dreams; or the dreaming him is actually living in reality? He doesn’t know and he don’t want to know! His times of being drunk is longer than he being sober; He is purposely in wanting not to be sober. From the moment the person whom he loves has been married to another person due to his one night fling with Nan Zhao Guo Shen Ni. His martial skills are extraordinary but in the end fate defeats and consumes him. He is the father of A Nu who she doesn't know.



Zhen Pei Pei portrays Lao Lao

是巫后青兒的近身侍婢，忠心的僕人，身懷武功。十年前拼死保護靈兒逃出南詔國，投靠靈月宮主，從此在仙靈島上隱居。她的人生就是為青兒和靈兒而活的。她為保護靈兒受了重傷，臨死前將靈兒交托給逍遙，結束了她的人生使命…

Direct Translation:

She is the Queen’s assistant and loyal servant, who is skilled with martial arts. Ten years ago she fought to get Ling Er out of Nan Zhao country, since then they have been exiled and hidden in Xian Ling island. Her life is for the queen and Line Er. For protecting Ling Er, she sustained serious injuries, and before her death, she hands Ling Er over to Xiao Yao, for him to take care of Ling Er.



Huang Zhi Xian portrays the King of Nan Zhao country

年紀輕輕，除了肩負一國之重擔，他不住要在親情和國家之間作出取捨。不住被拉扯撕裂，他的心血早已流幹── 家國山河，蕓蕓眾生，萬千世態…… 多少是他的本意？從來，他都只是含笑面對。他從不抱怨，默默承受。因為他是一國之君。他有皇者的胸襟…

A very young king, he has to choose between kinship or country and has been torn in the process.



Sun Li portrays the Queen

南詔國皇后，她是大地之母，女媧後人。 危急關頭，她化身女媧，跟為禍大地的水魔獸作戰…… 最後，她變成石像，手持寶劍，把水魔獸封鎖在聖湖上…　　

Direct Translation:

She is the queen of Nan Zhao country and also the mother of Earth, Nu Wa’s descendant. In the time of crisis, she morphs into Nu Wa, to do battle with the sea monster summoned by Bai Yue Sect leader. In the end, she turns into a stone statue, with a sword in hand, to keep the sea monster locked under the lake.



Alan Tam portrays Jiang Ming

他是一個來歷不明的孤兒。自少被蜀山掌門領養長大，接觸的全是大道理…… 然而，他卻一直被一道野性之火暗暗地燃燒著。本來要成為下任蜀山掌門的他，卻愛上了一隻狐妖！他在正邪之間徘徊……

Direct Translation:

He is an orphan with unknown origin. Has been brought up by Shu mountain sect leader…
But he has been burned by his inner wild ambitious self. Originally to become the next sect leader, but he fell in love with a fox demon and ever since he has been wandering between good and evil…



Guo Liang portrays Du Gu Jian Shen

實際年齡已有百多歲，但看起來只有五十歲上下。蜀山現任掌門，酒劍仙之師兄，高傲，固執，主觀強，脾氣古怪。武功蓋世。他亦是林天南的故友。百多年前，當他仍然是個幾歲大的小男孩之時，他親眼目擊了一個人妖相戀的大悲劇，此事件辱及蜀山派名聲，讓他刻骨銘心，令他自少立志對付妖怪，絕不手軟…　

Direct Translation:

Already over the age of 100 but looks like around the age of 50. The present sect leader of Shu mountain, the senior of Jiu Jian Xian. He is proud, stubborn and has a strange behaviour. Has incredible martial abilities. 100 years ago, he had seen the tragic story of the love between a human and a demon. Since this incident had tarnished the reputation of Shu mountain sect, he has swore to eliminate demons and never has a soft hand when dealing with them.
