Isn't It Nice To Have Someone At Your Side?

This is one of my favourite clips from Westside Story(not the Western Musical, but the Taiwan Idol Series). It is normally felt that Taiwan idol series storylines are unrealistic because they sometimes are adopted from fairy tales, eg. Prince Turns Into a Frog. But I feel that the story in Taiwan idol series also closely resembles some aspects of our life and reflects what we are going through in our present society.

In this clip, Cyndi, after having being separated long time from her "lover" portrayed by 5566 member Wang Shao Wei, is sitting in a train, feeling lonely and sad. She has some flashbacks and beautiful memories where she thinks of Wang Shao Wei and Wallace Huo Jian Hua who are portraying characters in the series who are trying their best to help Cyndi in her life. Shao Wei mentioned that he will accept her no matter what she is.

After these flashbacks, Cyndi cries, but another character portrayed by Wang Ren Fu who is also always there to help Cyndi gives her a tissue to wipe her tears. This scene, I feel is very touching as it is warm and shows that there is always someone at your side trying to help you. I like the scene, when Cyndi turns around looking at who had given her the tissue. She looks really sad and sweet at the same time, which is a beautiful combination.
