白色戀歌

This old S.H.E MTV from their Together compilation album released on 23 Jan 2003 is one of my favourite past S.H.E MTV. One of the reasons is I like sad songs the most. The background in the MTV is sad too, I like to watch scenes with snow and white background, and clothings, etc. The snow effect captures my attention because it gives me a feeling of beauty juxtoposed with sadness at the same time - a combination that is sad and sweet at the same time, this combi is a potent mixture for me that is like a beautiful memory to me.

Shinobi: Blade Under Heart

According to the review at imdb, Shinobi: Blade Under Heart is more of a romance movie than an action movie. Look at the poster and the ballad sung by Ayumi Hamasaki for the theme of this movie and you will notice the romance genre manifest.

Sypnosis:

Shinobi: Heart Under Blade is a 2005, Japanese, ninjitsu, romance movie. The story is an adaptation of the novel, Kouga Ninpou Cho by Yamada Futaro, which depicts the clash between two ninja clans, Iga and Kouga, and the fated love between Kouga Gennosuke (Kouga) and Oboro (Iga). I was at Ang Mo Kio Hospital today for an appointment and the doctor was gossiping with the staff nurse about epidural use in childbirth.

The epidural space is a part of the human spine inside the spinal canal separated from the spinal cord and its surrounding cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) by a membrane called the dura mater or simply dura. Using an epidural catheter, both anesthesia (loss of feeling) and analgesia (loss of pain) can be administered. The space is also of clinical interest since its cranial part contains vessels (e.g. the middle meningeal artery) susceptible to lesions after head traumas, causing a lethal (if not treated immediately) epidural hematoma.

Epidural is most commonly used as anesthesia in childbirth to relieve sensation and to reduce pain.

Depression

I dunno why I'm getting this depressing feeling this few days since the term break start. Is it due to my injury factor that has finally come over to dominate me after all these years? I need a help to get this feeling away as it is disrupting my motivation to do the assignments and school work scheduled to be due after the term break ends. Whatever the case, this is quite bad - I'm feeling like a zombie too.

This week is mid term break but have to write essays, study for tests and work up some project ideas.

Essay topic:

1. Historical Variation

The topic for discussion is: ‘The circumstances surrounding the speakers of English determine the shape of the language. Changing circumstances necessarily lead to changing shapes’. The topic has been left broad and general deliberately; you need to focus on a specific aspect, period or episode in the history of English. You may provide a more specific title to your essay.
I just submitted 2 suggestions but my tutor said that the topics are not related to the question.

2. Critical Intro To Gaming

Argue, using as much as possible the reading materials we have discussed so far, how the popular arcade game Space Invaders could tell us something about the cultural, historical, and economical context in which it was created.

3. Media Discourse:

Provide an analysis of the news report - a recontextualisation of President Bush's inauguration ceremony in January 2005 - in terms of one of the following: (i) lexical choice; (ii) participants and processes; (iii) speech attribution; (iv) thematic structure and/or information focus; or (v) global text structure. Explain how your analysis relates to ideology in terms of invisibility of social processes and power in society.


Sumyi asked me to help her give out some surveys for her ISM project. The requirements are as belows. If anyone can qualify for it, can get back to me? Thanks. The oral distinction requirement can be relaxed, so not to worry. Anyone reading my blog can help to pass the word around? She will send out the questionnaires on Monday.

I did a virus scan for my pc. There are some viruses called Dropper.Small and Trojan horse Backdoor.Generic2.GJE. Did a scan and healed the files yesterday but today still appear when I'm scanning my computer. Time to delete files.
